drinks another coffee and she finds it hard to stay awake, it's just another day
hello everyone, sorry for the dearth of entries - i have a massive backlog of photos that i have been wanting to post but it's been a crazy two weeks or so for me ever since i started working- and yes given that i only have a measly nine days left in the Land of Eternal Summer :( :( :( , i have been desperately trying to spend as much time as i can with family and friends, shopping for shoes, office wear and textbooks to lug back to the Land of Ever-changing Weather, and squeezing in some exercise (hardly). i'm sad that i have to leave again but the little nerd in me is somewhat excited for the start of term (paeds rotation here i come!!) it has been a whirl, it really has, i've had such a blast this summer break and i couldn't be happier.
i leave you with a happy picture of my dear friend cat who came visiting our shores last week for now (more to come i promise)

i caught eastern promises the other day and now i'm loving Viggo Mortensen
  
he plays the ruthlessly efficient and sardonic Nikolai Luzhin, driver to the Vory V Zakone family, a Russian gang with an evident cutthroat fetish. some scenes were a little macabre i might say but i was completely awed by Viggo Mortensen's splendid potrayal of such a demanding character. he's so... charming! watch this show if the mafia intrigues you, and if you are not particularly averse to violence (and some gore). 4 stars for David Cronenberg! |
